CASE
STUDY
The
Isaacs Ridge Chalets feature a number of different
elements that take full advantage of the location
and environment.
A 10 chalet development on the western side of Margaret
River, the chalets use the natural elements to provide
heating and cooling whenever weather conditions allow.
The
design of the chalets allows guests to enjoy the relaxing
feel of a cool breeze or warm sunshine unmatched by
artificial methods.

During
winter and spring, the chalets have been designed
so that opening northern facing blinds during the
day will allow sunshine in, whilst closing the same
blinds at sunset will retain heat in the house.
Conversely,
during summer and autumn, keeping blinds partially
closed to avoid direct entry of direct sunlight, and
opening windows to allow for cross ventilation will
keep the house cool.
